Dodgers v. Giants for NL West

The Giants had held on to the top spot in the NL West since May 30th but the Dodgers have just shaken that up. For the first time since April 28th the Dodgers have some claim to the top spot in their division.

With the Dodgers’ sweep of the Braves and the Giants’ fumble against the Brewers on Wednesday, the Dodgers had taken first in the NL West outright however it was short lived. The Giants ended their series with the Brewers on a high note, evening back out and are currently sitting in a tie for first with the Dodgers.

The Dodgers and Giants go head-to-head tonight beginning what should be an exciting series between them. For both teams this matchup is going to be one of their tougher ones for the remainder of the season and will help solidify their standing at the top of the division.
